Botox, Xeomin
Our physicians specialize in the injection of neurotoxins. These treatments relax certain muscles of the face to remove wrinkles and other imperfections. These treatments take little time to perform and have little down time. The treatments last a few months and require follow up maintenance injections as needed to maintain their effectiveness.
Dermal Filler Treatments
Our physicians specialize in the injection of dermal fillers. These treatments are mostly hyaluronic acid based products that are placed in areas of the face to plump lift and correct wrinkles and sagging. Cheek and jaw lifting, as well as lip filler treatments are also available. These treatments last for 6 to 9 months or longer depending on the product used and require re-injection to maintain their effectiveness. The dermal fillers do stimulate collagen building for a more permanent effect. This results in the need for less product with future injections to maintain their effectiveness.
Our office uses multiple dermal filler products including Juvederm and Revance. There are many options with Juvederm fillers including Voluma, Volbella, Ultra, and Ultra XC to name a few. Our Revance line included RHA products 1 through 4. Each product has a different firmness and viscosity for use in different areas of the face. Some areas of the face require a firmer, lifting filler like Juvederm Voluma or Revance RHA 4.
At Rejuevantions Lehigh Valley, we participate with Alle and Revance Promotions for regular special discounts and promotions with both Juvederm and Revance products.
PDO Threads
Our physicians are specially trained in placement of PDO threads for collagen building and lifting of cheeks and jowls. We offer barbed and smooth threads depending on the desired cosmetic result. They are safe and effective and can be placed in a brief period of time. They last 6 to 9 months and build natural collagen in the location that they are placed to assist with a permanent effect. The results after barbed thread placement are immediate and those of the smooth threads occur over time.
Rejuvenations uses NovaThread products for both smooth and barbed PDO threads. PDO threads can be of different sizes and lengths and our specially trained providers will use different PDO threads depending on facial location and desired outcome.
What should I expect when I have a PDO thread placement?
Smooth Threads are placed after topical anesthetic cream is placed in the treatment area. Each thread is attached to a tiny needle that is advanced into a particular location. Usually, finer wrinkles around the mouth and eyes are favored areas for the smaller smooth PDO thread placement. A treatment area may require placement of a small number (3-6) threads up to a large number (8-20) threads depending on the condition and desired outcome.
Larger Barbed PDO Nova Threads are used for a more dramatic immediate lift of jowls, jawline, or cheeks. These PDO threads may be from 3 to 5 inches long. Our specially trained provider will use entry points on the face in front of the ear or at the back of the jaw. Local anesthesia is injected at the entry site prior to PDO thread placement. The face is marked for the location of PDO thread directions. A cannula is placed through the entry hole and advanced underneath each marking, and more local anesthetic is injected to minimize pain from the procedure. Each PDO NovaThread is attached to a flexible cannula that is inserted into the entry point and advanced under the skin following the facial marking. The PDO threads have microscopic barbs that hold them in place when the cannula is removed leaving the PDO thread in place. The PDO thread is then activated by pulling on the loose end of the thread sticking out of the skin resulting in an immediate pulling and tightening of the area. The PDO placement procedure is relatively painless and performed in a short period of time in our office at Rejuvenations. Typically, 3 to 5 barbed PDO threads are placed on each side of the face to accomplish a particular look and outcome.
